Welcome to KU's Mechanical Engineering!

KU’s Mechanical Engineering Department is excited about the possibility of you joining with us to build a better future for yourself, through earning an BSME degree, and for those with whom you will interact throughout your engineering career.

The information included at this site, as highlighted by the navigation bar to the left, is designed to assist in your exploration of KU-ME as your home department.   You are welcome to become familiar with that information, so that you know what courses and time will be needed in order to complete your degree - - and then, as an engineer, you will be contributing to society’s advancement and well-being.

For completing your degree, information is provided on:  how to enroll, specific degree requirements of the curriculum, and degree or track options within KUME.

For building your background and resume outside of KU’s academic environment, at the “Current Students” site, there is information on:  study abroad, cooperative education/work, internships, student organizations, and searching for permanent jobs; In addition there is information on professional engineering licensing and other activities directed toward your future as a Mechanical Engineer.
